Kashmiri Poetry

əndrɪm prakaːʃ nebɪz tsʰwuʈum 

ɡaʈɪ roʈum tɨ kərmɨs tʰapʰ 

I held my inner light in the dark

Caught it and held it tight

Here, we notice that "prakaːʃ", which means light, was still in usage in those times.

an poʃɪ telɪ jelɪ wan poʃɪ 

Food will thrive when the forest thrives

- Sheikh-ul-Alam

Here, we see, "an" and "wan" (grain and forest, respectively, were still used in Kashmiri then)

badʒɪ kɔlɪ hɔkʰan tɪ həːzˈ ɡrəːzan

telɪ maːlɪ aːsɪ waːndar raːdʒ 

Rivers will dry, gutters will roar

Then the monkeys will rule

- Sheikh-ul-Alam

Doesn't it seem to resemble modern day condition? Anyways, waːndar is now replaced by ponz (monkey).
